Affordable Housing Development (AHD)

The Affordable Housing Development (AHD) program supports long-term housing recovery in the eight counties affected by the wildfires and straight-line winds of 2020:

Clackamas | Douglas | Jackson | Klamath | Lane | Lincoln | Linn | Marion

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) developed and oversees the AHD program, which:

    • Provides funding directly to county governments or their alternates, such as public housing authorities or local governments.

    • Designs programs to develop affordable rental and homeownership opportunities, ensuring safe and stable housing for low- to moderate-income (LMI) households.

    • Supports a range of housing activities, including new construction, rehabilitation, land acquisition, and necessary infrastructure development.

    • Seeks to ensure that fire-affected communities can rebuild and meet post-disaster housing demands while complying with all federal regulations and program requirements.
