Property Value Appeals Board (PVAB) (Formerly Known as BOPTA)


The Property Value Appeals Board (PVAB) is comprised of individuals appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and acts independently from the Assessor's office.  

On 01/01/2024 House Bill 2031 changed the name from Board of Property Tax Appeals (BoPTA) to Property Value Appeals Board (PVAB).  

As of July 1, 2025 there is a $50 per petition filing fee.

As of July 1, 2026 the fee will increase to $52 per petition filing fee.

Pool member selection (if you are interested in serving on the PVAB board, please call 541-265-4131.
October              
The Clerk's office will begin accepting petitions after property taxes are mailed  by the tax office
December 31st  
Final day for petitions to be filed (or next business day of holiday weekend)
January       
Post notice 1st session, pool member training as prescribed by Department of Revenue, hearing notices mailed
February - April
Convene on or after the 1st Monday in February, hearings held, orders mailed within five days of hearing,
season adjourned
