Mission Statement
The mission of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) is to provide a well trained and equipped professional team of volunteers who are prepared to respond rapidly, effectively, and safely to serve as an additional resource in the search and rescue of lost, missing, and overdue persons.
Our commitment is to do so with honor and integrity, while conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain the confidence of those we serve.

Planning an Outdoor Excursion
Complete the Outdoor Excursion Trip Form (PDF) prior to an outdoor excursion and leave it with a responsible person. Your life may depend on it! In the event that you do not return from your trip as stated in this trip plan, it can be given to the police and search and rescue organizers.
How to Join the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue
Minimum Requirements:
- Citizen of Lincoln County
- Clean criminal record, and background check
- Driver license for the state of Oregon
- Ability to volunteer your time to the community
- Ability to attend and pass training programs offered
- Ability to attend monthly meetings
