Members
Appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serve a term of three years.
Members are comprised of individuals whose primary residence is in Lincoln County and who specify an interest in the stated goals of the Committee. Members shall recommend individuals for appointment when vacancies occur.
Overview
Purpose of the Committee
To promote, develop and preserve Lincoln County roadways necessary for safety and road user status of the bicyclist and pedestrian. Also to promote, develop, and perpetuate Lincoln County Transportation Policy and funding, which judiciously represents life and limb protection and the best interests of the bicycling and walking public.
Areas of Representation
The Committee serves to advise Lincoln County officials in bicycle and pedestrian transportation, and matters pertaining to existing and proposed road construction and signing. The Committee is a source of current information relating to the use of bicycle and walking as a means of transportation, and strives to support them as a viable means of transportation in Lincoln County.
