Notice of Public Hearing
The Lincoln County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., to consider an amendment to the Lincoln County Code (LCC), Chapter One, that amends sections of LCC 1.1115, Definitions, and sections of LCC 1.2005 through 1.2320, Flood Hazard Management, and adds a proposed section 1.2330, pertaining to the use of a habitat assessment in demonstrating conformance with applicable no net loss standards in coastal special flood hazard areas. Proposed Text Amendment to the Definitions of the Lincoln County Code, Chapter 1, Land Use
To comply with ORS 192.610-192.690 (Oregon Public Meeting Law) as amended, and the procedures within Lincoln County Code, Chapter 1, this hearing will be conducted both in person and through an online platform. The hearing will be livestreamed on Lincoln County's Agendas & Meetings page, or by following this link to the livestream. This meeting can be attended in person at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Board of Commissioner’s Conference Room, 225 W Olive Street, Newport, Oregon, 97365, or virtually (electronically) through Zoom Webinar, which requires attendee registration at this website.
Testimony on this matter can be submitted in written or oral form. Oral testimony will be taken during the public hearing. The Planning Commission Chair reserves the right to limit the time allowed for oral testimony; therefore, parties are strongly encouraged to submit detailed testimony in writing in advance of the hearing. A copy of the proposed amendments can be found below on this webpage or may be physically reviewed at the Lincoln County Department of Planning and Development, 210 SW 2nd Street, Newport, Oregon, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Fridays, excluding major holidays.
