Tax Office

The Tax Collector receives and maintains the County tax roll pursuant to state laws and administrative rules.

The office is responsible for:

  • printing and mailing tax statements and notices
  • receiving and distributing tax monies to the local taxing districts
  • maintaining current and accurate tax collection records
  • initiating annual foreclosure proceedings
  • providing public information and services

Senate Bill 161 (ORS 311.636)

Beginning, January 1, 2016: Senate Bill 161 authorizes County Tax Collectors to transmit electronic notices of warrants for delinquent taxes on business personal property tax accounts to the Secretary of State Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) system.
