Public Meeting Rescheduled for Don Lindly Park

Lincoln County, in partnership with the State Marine Board, will be hosting a public meeting on January 5, 2017, from 4 to 6 pm at the Waldport City Hall’s Council Chambers, 125 NW Alsea Hwy.  The purpose of this meeting is to share concepts and gather feedback from recreational boaters to assist in the development of a recreational boating facility at Don Lindly Park.
Don Lindly Park is located on the Alsea River off Hwy 34 at milepost 7, before the bridge crosses the Alsea River and across from Canal Creek Road.
In late 2014, a variety of partners worked together to purchase the property to for the future development of a public boat ramp, docks, parking and sanitation.

Park Development:
Don Lindly Park is being developed with funding from multiple agencies. The State Marine Board, Oregon Wildlife Foundation, The Department of Fish and Wildlife Service, The Federal Sport Fish Restoration Fund and Lincoln County have all contributed to the acquisition and continued construction and development of this park.

A conceptual park design has been submitted and is under review. Plans include a new boat launch and dock, 30 plus parking stalls for boat trailers, 20 plus single car parking stalls, and restroom facilities. Also included in the design is a non-motorized boat launch.
Volunteer Hosts will be on site this summer to help assist the public.
